The Chairman House Committee on Appropriations,   Hon Aliyu Muktar Betara , has emerged as the preferred choice to become the next Speaker, according to an opinion poll. In the survey conducted by Parliament Inc, respondents identified Betara as their favourite to succeed Femi Gbajabiamila among other aspirants. The  Federal Government has insisted that the payment for fuel subsidy will come to an end in June, 2023. The Management of Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative (IDPIL) has announced the opening of registration for the 2nd Edition of the body’s Annual N20 Million Scholarship and Bursary Award. The body launched the annual scheme last year in Igbogbo, where hundreds of undergraduates from various higher institutions of learning benefitted.
