It’s over Six months ago Asiwaju attained the Presidential Position; “How has President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration felt, and how are the people of Nigeria feeling it?”

In an interview with the “All Progressives Congress (APC) Party Chieftain”, former Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, The Asipa of Ikorodu, Chief Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, said on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Palace, Ikorodu Central, Lagos State, Nigeria to think-tank, solicit for the challenges, and proffer solutions to the issues affecting the citizens at large, particularly the common man.

Says,  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hit the ground running; He has come with many disruptive policies, and programmes which only a bold and courageous leader can take. And that is the type of leadership we need, he said.

We know many things are wrong with ourselves, with our leadership, with our process, and with the economy. But, the boldness and the political will to do it has not been there before now.

So, on day one; when he said subsidy is gone! it's like somebody is talking from out of the blues. Someone does not understand; can this really happen? But it has come to stay, he said.

We are all feeling the pain because the subsidy was removed immediately. It’s affected the lives of the masses, particularly the common folks in terms of the cost of transportation increments, the cost of even staple foods has jumped up, the cost of buying provisions has jumped up, and in all, the cost of living has been so high, and the effect has been so excruciating on the common persons. That's the fact; we cannot deny it as a result of that policy, said; former Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, APC Party Chieftain, Chief Asipa Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya.

“So, what we are expecting as a genius Asiwaju, is to come up with programmes and policies that will suit the nerves. When the nerves are freed we can now proceed to society.

“There's a lot of tension in the society, I don't want to deny that, but we have to break the egg to make an openness”, “We have to make some sacrifices, because we will make some gains”. But my prayer is that the gains, will not lead to the death of our people before the comfort comes, said; Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya.

Says, So quickly! “I'm using this video & press medium to pass a message that people are suffering as a result of that policy”. But, it is a necessary evil that we have to contend with as a result of bad policies and decisions, and lack of political will power to affect changes in the past.

Asipa of Ikorodu said, in feedback; “Security took long share of the 2024 budget, that shows the priority of the Governments”. We force the responsibility of governments to secure lives and properties, to that extent, that has reflected budgets in the most secure environment. “If you want to bring in investments, you have to secure the environment; If you want people to go about doing their businesses, you have to secure the environment; If you want farmers to go to the farm unhindered to produce food, you have to secure the environment; If you want to secure movement from one place to the other, without these fears of kidnapping and all that, you have to secure the environment.

So in that way, I think the priority given to security in the budget is welcome. Next to that, we see education, and so on he spoke about.
