Kanye West Dedicates Sunday Service to Longtime Friend Virgil Abloh

The two stars began working together in 2002 and collaborated on many projects. Most recently, Virgil served as the creative director of Donda. Kanye held his Sunday Service today (November 28) just hours after the news of Virgil‘s death was announced. He passed away following a private, two-year battle with a rare, aggressive form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma. A message from Kanye on the Sunday Service website read, “In loving memory of Virgil Abloh, the creative director of Donda.” People reports that the choir performed a rendition of Adele‘s “Easy on Me” featuring a revised section of the song.
