​TO ALL APC EXCOS & DELEGATES

NEW STRATEGIES OF PRIMARY ELECTION.

1. No Ward EXCO member will be a delegate at the State Congress for the nomination of the governorship flagbearer, unless he or she is elected as one of the 5 adhoc delegates.

2. At the Ward level, only the Chairmen and Secretaries will be delegates at the House of Representatives and Senatorial primaries.

3. All Ward EXCO members will be delegates at the House of Assembly primaries.

APC Delegates for Governorship Primaries under the 2022 amended Constitution [See Article 20(4), read in conjunction with Article 12(8)]: 


- Members of the National Advisory Council (former BOT) from the State;

- State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee;

- State Governor and Deputy Governor, who are members of the Party; 

- all serving and past members of the National Assembly, who are members of the Party from the State;

- All members of the National Executive Committee from the State;

- All serving and past members of the State House of Assembly, who are members of the Party from the State;

- All elected Local Government Areas/Area Councils Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen, who are members of the Party;

- All elected Councillors of Local Government Areas/Area Councils, who are members of the Party from the State;

- all Chairmen and Secretaries of the Party in the Local Government Areas of the State/Area council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja;

- Five delegates per ward (at least, two of whom shall be women) elected at the Ward Congress, who shall cease to function after the conclusion of the State Congress for which they were elected; and 

- Members of the Zonal Executive Committee from the State.
