​Food Bank Programme Unites People Towards 2023 General Election.

On this day, Saturday, September 17th, 2022: The Ikorodu Federal Constituency Representative, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson welcome, and appreciate dignitaries in the Ikorodu Federal Constituency’s office garden located at Ebute Ipakodo Rd, off Solebo Estate junction, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. In attendance was The LCDA Executive Chairmen, The Igbogbo-Bayeku Local Council Development Area, Hon. Builder Sesan Daini; The Ikorodu West Council Chairman, chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, “All Progressives Congress (APC)” Igbogbo-Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Party Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga; The former Commissioner for Lagos State Information and The Agba Akin Of Ikorodu, Sir Otunba Ayodele Elesho; all grassroots members of “All Progressives Congress (APC)” political Party; The Walk For Fitness for Jimi Benson group; The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 candidate for the House of Assembly election in Ikorodu constituency One, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA); APC Candidate for the House of Assembly election in Ikorodu constituency 2, Hon Abiodun Moshood Aro, popularly known as AMA, and so on.

The former Commissioner for Lagos State Information and The Agba Akin Of Ikorodu, Sir Otunba Ayodele Elesho asked the politicians what are Nigerians fighting one another for? in the Ikorodu Federal constituency’s office of the Hon. Babajimi Benson, he said, he has seen a series of abusive argumentative essays on the group platforms, he, therefore, urges the masses to promote the good work of their political interest candidate for his progressives and victorious achievement. He also said, whoever that did wrong should be corrected in a humble manner of approach, and not hate speeches against one another for peaceful coexistence within the political party system and in ikorodu Division at Large, for anyone that cultivates the habit of the humble manner of approaching the political party system, should be voted for. It is well (Ajuse) he said in conclusion.

Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson said to the audience after all protocols were duly observed, he can see the people orange colors reflecting little by little, therefore, there will be an uncommon, unique and colorful flag-off very soon that has never happened in Ikorodu before to mobiles more people towards the coming 2023 general election; just be patient, he said to the people. 

He Thereafter gave special appreciation to the “Walk For Fitness for Jimi Benson Group”, and the “Volunteers Group in APC”. He said he wasn't aware of their plans, but neither did he know what will happen, I never gave any money to them before the establishment of such ideas, he said, he thereby expresses appreciation to both groups, and further requested special songs from the APC female political singers, Igbogbo-Bayeke LCDA Executive Chairman, Hon. Builder Sesan Daini, and APC Candidate for 2023 LAHA election in Ikorodu constituency 2, Hon Abiodun Moshood Aro, popularly known as AMA before vulnerable givens of Mercy Bag (Apo-Anu).

The foodbank tagged Apo Anu or Mercy Bag was established by Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson and his wife, Mrs. Jumoke Benson on October 16th, 2016 to commemorate world food day in Ikorodu through distributions of food ingredients monthly to a minimum of five hundred (500) families including elderly people, widows, indigent people, and the vulnerable in the society. The food bank is one of the functional food banks in Nigeria and has in the last six (6) years and nine (9) months fed about 75,000 vulnerable families in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

The foodbank project is key to United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal and aimed to end hunger and all forms of malnutrition by 2030.

Beneficiaries from the food bank, pronounced as the mercy bag (Apo-Anu) were the elderly, widows, indigent, and vulnerable peoples in society which makes Ikorodu Federal Constituency jurisdiction.

on the same day, Saturday, 17th Of September, 2022; An hour after His food bank programme has given back to humankind. Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson (HRM) held a political meeting with a volunteer group in APC. He started his speech with the volunteer group slogan (Volunteer group! United we stand!), and All Progressives Congress (APC)’s slogan (APC! Progress!) before furtherance, He said he was so much happy, and also filled with a joyful heart to see the volunteer group activities,  walking in the sun and rain just because of Himself, The National APC Political Party Leader, The “All Progressives Congress (APC)” Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and The His Excellency Governor Of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu to all other APC aspirants.

In an interview with Mrs. Bukola Bolaji popularly known as Bekkis Delights, The coordinator for Ikorodu North LCDA Volunteer Group, She said, the volunteer group is a group on its own, that pledges its alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidates. further information act propels her to explain their vision; She said, not that we are all politicians, we only love APC Political Party, so that is why different groups of volunteers have synergies together to form a Volunteer Group as to intertwines within APC political system for all the APC Candidates to succeed in the coming general elections and spoke about how they are going to make sure they maintain peaceful political campaign during the political party advocacy in Ikorodu Division. We know our members, and we know who has gotten their PVC and also know who has not gotten theirs as they have promised in every area as to  get their PVCs for them. Come 2023, She said, they will going to give all our votes to all APC’s Candidates, and on behalf of the Volunteer Group in APC, we are assuring all APC’s Candidates, that they are going the demonstrate their franchise massively to make sure the APC’s Candidates attain their victorious achievement.
