The ”Lagos Rice Mill” Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria is a 2 x 16MTPH standing on an area of 8.5Ha land with an annual paddy requirement of over 240,000MT to produce 2.5 million bags of 50kg rice per annum. The mill generates about 250,000 direct and indirect jobs for Lagosians.
Thank you all for your doggedness and support. The ”Lagos Rice Mill” is here with us today, Sanwo-Olu said.
In an interview with the Baale of the host community, “Chief Yaya Salau Sanni” expressed that the Imota LCDA landlord and the market women will all enjoy as they all have multiple shops here. The “Lagos Rice Mill” will also have a very great development for Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria. With what we saw today, I don't think there will be a need to patronize foreign rice, and because of the transportation of the raw materials from the kebbi state, I think the Eko rice price should be N20,000 per bag, say Chief Yaya Salau Sanni.
In an interview with the director for finance, ”WECANY LIMITED”, Hon. Dosunmu Rasaq; the vendor that supplies over One hundred thousand (140,000) of rice paddy to the Lagos state government to make Eko Rice Mill a reality, said the rice mill establishment has already led to the development of Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria at large in terms of accommodation, business, and some other midst of survival into Imota being the largest rice mill in Africa and the third largest rice mill in the world which will as well increases the Lagos state “internally generated revenue (IGR)”.
I would have suggested that the government can subsidies the modern, in terms of bringing the price down a little different from the imported rice and the market price rate of having the feeling of tasting other rice. The price is better and it is a very good one, and government should ensure they build up security personnel to protect people, lives, properties, and some other indicators we can talk about, he said, the ”WECANY LIMITED” Director for Finance.
