OGA Courtesy Visit To The Sekunmade’s Palace For Royal Blessings and A Call For Heritage Support.


APC candidate of Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA) and His entourage paid a Royal courtesy visit to the Sekunmade palace of Ipakodo for Royal blessings from His Royal Majesty Oba Engr. Basir Aremu Sotanmiwa on Thursday, February 9th, 2023.


In the palace, Oba Sotanmiwa urged the citizens of Ikorodu to vote for OGA.


He further encouraged them to get their PVCs to enable them practice their civic responsibilities in the forthcoming 2023 general election.


In His words, “make sure you inform your neighbors and friends about getting their permanent voter's cards (PVCs) and come out enmass on the election day to vote for 'Ogunleye Gbolahhan Adetokunbo (OGA)and all other APC candidates in Ikorodu division”.


In His words, “He is my Son and the standard which Ikorodu has laid in the Lagos State House of Assembly has to be maintained”, His father, the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye has done his best by laying good integrity for OGA to leverage on, The Royal Majesty said “make sure you maintain the good prestige and promote Ikorodu Division’s interest in synergy with others Legislatures in The Lagos State House of Assembly when you are voted to represent the ''Ikorodu constituency 1 LAHA”,


We need your votes as we all know that numbers don't lie, Oba Basir Aremu Sotanmiwa advised.


In an interview with Alhaji Badru Ola Enifeni, the Ikorodu division APC APEX Secretary, after a closing prayer request from Oba Sekunmade of Ipakodo, he said, we have come to receive royal blessings from His Royal Majesty Oba Basir Aremu Sotanmiwa for success in the forthcoming election. My advice to the APC members is for them to have PVC, PVC is a major thing to be recognized with as a voter and also go out to enlighten people about the PVC, from PVC then to the polling unit; whoever has no PVC has no election and we want people to come out en mass to vote, for us to have higher numbers of voters in the coming 2023 general election in Ikorodu division. 


He also said OGA is very fortunate to have come out as the APC LAHA candidate in Ikorodu constituency 1 at this time because a Yoruba proverb says, ''ogede kinku komafomo e'ropo'', it is a good thing that Gbolahan has to opt to come and represent Ikorodu constituency 1, he should try and make sure he does very well for His father's name to keeps rising.


He shouldn't go there to make a mess of His father's good name; his Father has very good prestige in the Ikorodu division. OGA needs to know what is required as a LAHA member, the constitution; he must be conversant with his position there, and do very well for Ikorodu constituency 1 in other to elevate Ikorodu's name, says the Ikorodu divisional APC APEX Secretary.
