Reps. JB Facilitates Solar Powered Boreholes: Commissioned By The Jurisdictional Chairmen.

Ikorodu Federal House Of Representatives, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson (MHR) facilitated Four (4) new Solar Powered community Boreholes (tap water) on Tuesday, 23rd of August, 2023 at Igbodu CDA, Ibeshe CDA, Itamaga CDA, and Ijede CDA in synergy with the Federal Government of Nigeria, Ministry of Works and Housing headquarters, Mabushi, Abuja, to be supervised by Lagos State Federal Ministry of Works and Housing. These solar powered borehole was strategically registered in the communities/wards across Ikorodu division for the usage of mankind. 


The event was acknowledged for the commissions of the solar powered boreholes (in the communities) by the Local Government (LG) / Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Executive Chairmen, depending on the jurisdictions the project aligned with (Igbodu, Ibeshe, Ijede, and Itamaga) for the conveniences of the masses.


Igbodu Community Development Association (ICDA) was commissioned by The Executive Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina at the presence of WARD G Legislator, Hon. Councilor Oladimeji Oshikoya; ICDA Chairman, Mr. Balogun Sikiru, and it’s Secretary, Mr. Kunle Oshifuwa and other community members including their Chief Baale Kayode Ogiriosa to attest to the great Sustainable Development Goal’s project facilitated by Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson to Ikorodu division. 


Ibeshe Community Development Association ( ICDA): Solar powered borehole (tap waters) was commissioned by Igbogbo-Bayeiku LCDA Executive Chairman, Builder Olusesan M. Daini; WARD E Legislator, Hon. Councilor Arowolo Matthew and the presence of the community stakeholders as well as Itamaga, and Ijede.


In an interview with Igbodu CDA Chairman and secretary, Mr. Balogun Sikiru and Mr. Kunle Oshifuwa on what to do to sustain the solar powered borehole for long term duration; according to the CDA Chairman, said; We appreciate the Federal Government new borehole establishment for sustainable development goals of our community, despite it is an impromptu plan, but then we have no choice than to embrace it because, this will add plus to community through stables water flow accessibility.


We really appreciate Hon. Reps. Babajimi Benson for his solidarity within the Federal House Of Reps. for bringing this to our comfort zone to the service of mankind. Jimi Benson had been first among the past and still representing number One (1) Reps. so far we have experience his humanitarian services, said; The Igbodu CDA Chairman, Mr. Balogun Sikiru. 


Igbodu CDA Secretary, Mr. Kunle Oshifuwa, said; we have to take it upon ourselves, we will discuss about the sustainability maintenance of the solar powered borehole when we meet in our next CDA meeting. I can assure you that our community members will be willing to participate in this, said; Igbodu CDA, Secretary.
