Reps. Invitation Inculcate Deen’s Commissioned of Ijede Obun-ale Market

​Yesterday, August 7th, 2023, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba received Hon. Babajimi Benson, ably represented by Mr Deen Sanwo-Ola to the official commissioning/ handing over ceremony of the newly reconstructed Obun-Ale Market and a complete building of vocational center at Igbe-Ogunro in Ijede LCDA.


Over the years, the market had structurally deteriorated, causing a setback for easy business transactions, which in turn affected the Internally generated revenue (IGR) of Ijede LCDA.


In three months, the open market got a face-lift with major structural changes which include interlocks, roofing, plumbing works, painting, and solar light installation through the erudite legislator, Hon. Babajimi Benson.


The rehabilitation will improve the general outlook of the market's daily business activities and ease of accessibility of goods and services for the good people of Ijede LCDA in general who had been longing to have access to a standard market within the area.


Reacting to the development, the Executive Chairman of Ijede, Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba praised her boss and leader, Hon. Babajimi Benson for facilitating the project, thanking him for always putting smiles on the faces of his constituents.


In her words, “It is my responsibility to bring succor to my people, and having a backbone like Hon. Babajimi Benson has made it easier and I promise never to disappoint my people not forgetting that my predecessors and family left a good legacy for me to follow suit.”


The constructed vocational building at Igbe-Ogunro was also handed over to the Department of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
