The National Youth Of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter under the coordination of the Chairman, Comrade Oba Biliamin in synergy with the young and vibrant citizens had emerging youth leaders for summit and award at Lagos State secretariat, Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria on August 11th, 2023 in commemoration of the International youth day, 2023.


This event involved a series of young and vibrant leaders and dignitaries across the nation; former Lagos East Senatorial District Legislator, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe; the Special Adviser to the President on Digital Media, Hon. Olusegun Dada; Igbogbo-bayeiku LCDA Chairman, Builder Sesan Daini; The iCare Foundation Director General, Mayor Muyideen Sanwoola; Lagos state All Progressives Congress (APC) political youth Leader, Comrade (Dr) Seriki Muritadha Ishola and so on.  


Green submissions of the youths for the progressive economic development of Nigeria were exercised as well as profered civic feedback toward think tanks about the way forward of Nigeria from every state that makes Nigeria.


During the former Lagos East Senatorial District's public address, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe said; the educational investment of the youth is very paramount. Senator Ogunlewe is motivated to embrace education in other to build more youth educationally for Nigeria to sustain intellectual and interest youth participation in governance through educational impaction.


During the audience address of the Special Adviser to the President on Digital Media, Hon. Olusegun Dada said; he sees the future of the youth as assured, According to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu renewed hope assurance, especially a couple of weeks, where Orire Agbaje, a 400-level Economics student from the University of Ibadan, was been appointed as one of the members of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, which was inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa. The Special adviser to the President on Digital Media attested to his thought of being the youngest on the Presidental Committee. 


This is to portray a good sign for good things to come because he has always been consistent in being a person, that the youth are the future of this country; if we do not build the youth, there will be no country to build. This is a goodwill message from His Excellency President of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, my Boss, my Father, our Father, a Jagaban of Africa, and the ECOWAS Chairman. I sent this goodwill message to everyone in other to understand the President's intention, and whatever policies from the youth; He is going to implement and see the need for input from the strongest and the most stipulated people of this country, which are the young people. To a great extent, we have seen that reflected in a recent appointment of a 400-level student of the University of Ibadan, Orire Agbaje in regards to going forward.


The entire Youth of Lagos State thereby presented an Honourary Award to Hon. Comrade Segun Dada for his great impact on progressive advocacy for the youths, and to be inclusive in the corridor of power. This award was presented by Ambassador Bamidele Osage.


Segun Dada thereby encourages more engagement in online and visual media activities, so that youth voices can be heard.
