We appreciate the fact that His Excellency Governor is a listening leader, and He has listened to Ikorodu's divisional yearnings.

The recent occurrence has given a stop to all agitations for more commissioners in Ikorodu. Ikorodu is one (1) of the foremost that made up Lagos State out of the five (5) IBILE jurisdictions; of course, we deserve more than two commissioners, but we just have to take it like that, because He has already done his best to urgument the previous improvio. And as for the Ikorodu divisional designates, they should endeavour to serve the interest of the people. We need more of their contributions positively, said; former Supervisor for Education, Ikorodu LG.

The former LGA Party secretary, Comrade Folami Shotubo (JP), said; that the two (2) selected candidates chosen for commissioner and special adviser (SA) are technocrats. We are expecting the best from both delegates representing the Ikorodu division at the State cabinet, and also extend our thanks to Mr Governor for giving Ikorodu two slots at the aims of affairs. They can deliver for Lagos State. It is a unique day in the history of democracy. We are expected to get two or more commissioners, but we are together and we shall all work together to move Lagos State forward, he said.

Deputy leader of the house, Ikorodu LG, Hon. Fatuga Mutiat, said; “I know Hon. Commissioner Ruth Abisola Olusanya will perform better been her second term in office, and Hon. (Dr) Prince Nurudeen Agbaje will add plus to the growth of Lagos State. “I believe they are going to touch all the twenty (20) LG and thirty-seven (37) LCDAs” in Lagos State.

We appreciate all the Ikorodu political leaders, IkoroduOga Development Association (IKODASS), Ikorodu Federal political office holders, and the Ikorodu divisional local Government Chairmen for standing strong in achieving this; “We still need more”, Ikorodu increases in population every day”, we need more commissioners and Special Advisers (SA). Ikorodu is not a second-class citizen. “Two is a capital NO for Ikorodu”. “A tryer will confuse Lagosians”, said; the Deputy leader of the house.

Otunba Kuyinu of Ikorodu kingdom, Otunba Kadiri Adetiju Owoyele conclusively, said; it is true that “we are agitating for two (2) commissioners from Ikorodu, but we are given one (1) and one (1) special adviser in addition.

Yoruba proverb says, Ibipelebe latin’moleje, it is another step ahead. Let's give kudos to the Governor and the Lagos State Government. Let's start from somewhere and assist the commissioner and special advisers from Ikorodu, “We believe they can not disappoint us” said, Otunba Kuyinu of Ikorodu Kingdom.
