Methodist Church Nigeria, Ikorodu Diocese had the 18th Conference Knighthood Awardees Thanksgiving & Fundraising For The “Church Hall Project” today, Sunday, November 26th, 2023 at Patriarch Bolaji Cathedral, Ikorodu Circuit, 1/3 Ladega Street, Ita-Elena, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria to recognize the great believers and good participation of Ikorodu Division in the Church Hall Projects.

The Governor Advisory Council Member, former Lagos State Deputy Governor, and All Progressives Congress (APC) Ikorodu Division Superior Party Chieftain, Sir Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, FCA, KJW among the 2023 Conference Awardees attract a Governor Advisory Council member, former Lagos East Senatorial District, and APC Party Chieftain, Igbogbo axis, Distinguished “Prince” Adeseye Ogunlewe; The former Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. The Watchword of the day was from Holy Bible, 1 Timothy Chapter 5 verses 17-18 which is focused on “Fight The Good Fight Of Faith” according to the preacher of the day, Rt. Revd. Dr. Samson Olu Osundina, JP, Diocese of Ikorodu’s Bishop.

Says, Methodist Church Nigeria, Ikorodu Diocese was established 53 years ago, “1970”, and today is the 18th edition of Conference Awardees Thanksgiving of its kind; When it is 54th year by God’s grace,  His Excellency Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu will be here to mark completion of the Church Projects. “Ikorodu is not left out”, said; Pastor Osundina, JP, at Thanksgiving.

Evangelist E.A. Odulate was announced in appreciation as the “coordinator of 2023 Conference Awardees Thanksgiving Service & Fundraising for The Church Hall Projects” by Rev. Osundina, JP.

former Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Agba Akin of Ikorodu Kingdom, Chairman of Church Project Fundraising Committee, Sir (Otunba) Ayodele Elesho, formally anchored the fundraising paragraph of the day as he addressed all concerned Executive officials to acknowledge their involvement.

The Board Member, Commonwealth Local Government Affairs, Hon. Alabi Kolade David was addressed as the first person to contribute towards the Church Hall Projects, and also awarded the highest pay on behalf of the entire membership of “Conference 57”, and personally contributed on behalf of his entire family.

Followed by the APC Ikorodu Division Party Chairmen under the coordination of the APC Ikorodu Division. Otunba Tijani Jimoh Olasunkanmi, announced by Agba Akin of Ikorodu Kingdom, Sir (Otunba) Ayodele Elesho.

The Entire Family of Ogunleye Family contributed following the Church fundraising doctrine, The contributed amount was announced by The Principal Partner, Bode Ogunleye & Co. (Chartered Accountants), Prince Bode Ogunleye, FCA.

Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru and Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR, contributed financially toward the Church Hall Projects, but Hon. Jimi Benson gave massively above Lagos East Senatorial District Legislator. This was announced by Sir Ayodele Elesho.

The Ikorodu Division Local Government & Local Council Development Area (LCDA) participated massively in Church building projects, as announced by Sir Ayodele Elesho.

The Ikorodu Division Councillors Forum & Supervisors also participated in their quota in fundraising, dramatically announced by Ikorodu LG Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Kazeem Showemimo and so much more.

The 2023 Knights and Conference Awardees were presented their gifts and awards respectfully, and presented by the Lay President, Sir David O. A. Sunmoni, FCA, KJW who also in his capacity contributed towards the development of the Church projects.

During the speech of Sir Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, KJW, FCA, said; “When you give, God will give back to you bountifully”.

A remarkable Award and gift was specially presented to Sir Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, KJW, FCA, by Sir Engr chief R.O Shoderu for his faithful impact and contributions toward the Church Hall Projects.
