The 32nd IkoroduOga Grand Finale Project & Organise Ikorodu Division For Greater Achievement

IkoroduOga Development Association (Ikodass) had the 32nd edition of IkoroduOga grand finale today, Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at the Ayangbure of Ikorodu’s Palace to organise the Royal club associates, and all social clubs to celebrate, unite and unify the day for global tourists attraction.


A series of dignitaries present to celebrate the IkoroduOga festival, among the dignitaries are; The Tobalase Club of Ikorodu Kingdom pioneered persons, Iyalode Olufunke Owoyel; Otun Iyaolode, Ashabi Olukotun; Eta Iyaolode, Yetunde Showemimo; Secretary, Abiola Oyewunmi; PRO, Akinwamide Olufunke; Treasurer, Bukola Arikawe; Financial Secretary, Adenike Ademoye. 


The Unique Sister’s Club of Ikorodu, and so much more.


In an interview with a member of The Unique Sister’s Club of Ikorodu, Mrs Badmus Abeo-Okin, said; the Unique Sister’s Club has been in existence since less than a couple of years ago, and their vision is to focus on humanitarian services to impact the primary lives of the children. 


With her, is the “PRO of Unique Sister’s Club of Ikorodu”, Mrs Banjoko Mosurat and their club member, Mrs Afolashade Olabode


All Ikorodu political office holders, Lagos East Senatorial District Legislator, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru; Ikorodu Federal House of Representative Member, Rep. “Prince” Babajimi Adegoke Benson and others are also present to celebrate the 32nd IkoroduOga grand finale in and outside the Oba Ayangbure of IKORODU’s palace, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, who envisage and guided the people of Ikorodu to maintain peaceful understanding within themselves in preparation of the next LAGOS State Governor. “I am going to lead the battle and we are going to win”, Kabiyesi said at the Public Service Day celebration the 32nd edition of IkoroduOga festival, yesterday, Friday, November 17th, 2023, Where the former Lagos State Commissioner, Hon. Ayodele Elesho also encouraged the Ikorodu indigenous network connectivity at the arms of affairs of ministry in Lagos State. “Ikorodu Indigenes are doing good”, he said. 


His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulkabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu kingdom further propagate unity for peaceful coexistence within Ikorodu division and to also guided the Ikorodu indigenes, social clubs and visitor alike to work in one voice towards achieving the next Governor to Ikorodu. 


Says, he will not welcome bastard that traditional rulers will requires for the celebration of Ikorodu doctrines, who will question what is Ikorodu doctrines is for, or that will not be present at IkoroduOga festival and so on. “I am not joking with our cultural activities, eg Eluku, Oro, Agemo, IkoroduOga festival; This is what where known for all around the globe”, Kabiyesi said during his address with the social clubs in Ikorodu, Crystal club, Oriwu club, Egbe Tobalase Obinrin, Egbe Tobalase Club, Egbe Kikiewa, I-Hero, Arc-View, Egbe Tobalase club , Achiever Club, EkoOnPoint Entertainment, Women of Substance club, Egbe Gbogeniyi club, Egbe Arobayo club, Urhorobo Union club, Egbe Tobalase Obinrin Club, Likeminds Committee of Friends, Ikodass Excos so on.


“The next seating Governor of Lagos State must come from Ikorodu”. 


The time has come for Ikorodu Division to ask for it. Do not disputes one another, and where “I instruct you to go is where we should all follow”, let’s come together as one, that is all I am asking from the people of Ikorodu Division. And as from now on, Ikorodu Division for Governor, The Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, Oba Adbulkabir Adewale Shotobi lead in agitation. 

 

In Details, The Ikorodu Federal House of Representative member, Chairman of the Day, Reps. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, HRM, said in his public address that all series of IkoroduOga festival activities is aimed at fostering unity and progress among the people of Ikorodu Division. 


Said, he is confident that the 32nd edition of IkoroduOga festival will bring renewed hope and mark Nigeria as stronger and better. “It May be very tough at the moment but there is assurance that there will be light at the end of the tunnel”. 


He thereby commend, this year’s festival, theme “the time is now” has signifies the achievement and transformation that will take place in Ikorodu, Lagos State, and Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Baba Oba of Ikorodu. It is a time to benefit from the Government in areas, such as Infrastructure, Education, Empowerment, Health and Sport. 


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is aware of the challenges faced by the people and he is working tirelessly to improve the economy and quality of life. Chairman of occasion said to renewed hopes for reality improvement. 


Ikodass Chairman, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, said in is speech, that numbers don’t lie in regards to the number and composition of the State Executive Council clearly show that of the five division of the Lagos State, Ikorodu have the least among the representation in the cabinet. The same Ikorodu which delivered the second largest votes for the “All Progressives Congress (APC)” in last governorship election. Children of our fathers, “fair is fair”. Let know body blame His Excellency Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for not appointing of Ikorodu extraction into His cabinet, because to blame Mr Governor is to forget that all politics is local, He said. 


Says, the time is now to come together for the greater good of our community, Ikodass Chairman said to unite Ikorodu division for progressives achievement.
