Hon. Adesina Constitutionally Contradict Traditional Paramount Ruler’s Decision
The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina has constitutionally Pronounced Iya’Oloja General of Ikorodu Central, Mrs. Bukola Osho In Contradiction with Iya’Oloja General-elect of Ikorodu Division, nominated by the divisional marketers across Ikorodu, and officially presented By His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, The Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom on December 7th, 2023 at the Oba’s Palace, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria by the willing of the Divisional Marketers.
In the process of having two Iya Oloja Generals in the Ikorodu Central Local Government, despite Iya Oloja General elect, Deaconess Busola Isikalu has been officially elected by His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom through nomination by the Ikorodu Divisional marketers.
The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina has constitutionally ignited another Iya Oloja General in Ikorodu Central, Mrs. Bukola Osho to be Iya Oloja General of Ikorodu Central Local Government, part of the Ikorodu Division”.
This is a story of two paramount stakeholders who needed to be watchful about their dealings and doings in the society.
Kabiyesi is on agitation of being the Traditional Paramount Ruler of Ayangbure kingdom, while the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government is emphasizing the three arms of Government “Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary” with their responsibilities.
According to fact findings, the indigenes is now clamoring for the involvement of all political stakeholders, both within and in diaspora. “We don’t want issues, it is too early for that” in 2024; indigenes speaks out.
In an interview with Iya Oloja General officially elect, nominated by the Ikorodu Divisional Marketers, Deaconess Bukola Isikalu, said; after the Ikorodu Divisional Marketers, High Chiefs, Baales, Erelus, Prince and Princesses and so on has officially attest to her through Kabiyesi to be the Iya’Oloja General of Ikorodu Division; Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina announced another person to be Iya’Oloja General of Ikorodu (Central) Local Government, superior Part of Ikorodu Division which could lead to controversy among the Ikorodu Divisional Markets.
This prompted why the marketers across Ikorodu has came out on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 for solidarity walk of satisfaction with the recently elected Iya’Oloja General of Ikorodu Division, Deaconess Busola Isikalu for peaceful coexistence.
Says, “We are ready to working with everybody”, but the marketers are just out to appeal to the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina not to impose on them, as they strongly believe that Ikorodu will be known for good in their own time.
She thereby urges all the marketers in Ikorodu Division to remain calm, because Rome was not built in a day, “With time everything will go well as we want by God’s grace”, said; Deaconess Busola Isikalu, Iya’Oloja General of Ikorodu Division Royal Officially elect.

Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina instructed his media aide to forward his press release to me via WhatsApp; in His press release, he stated that “the Statement for the record in regards to the fourth Schedule of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended in 1999”.
Said, it is clear to him as the Executive Chairman on the duties of the Local Government, which includes the consideration and making of recommendations to the State commission on Economic Planning or any similar body on the Establishment, Maintenance, and regulation of slaughter houses, Slaughter slabs, Markets, Motor Packs, and Public Conveniences.
He thereby stated in His Press Release that it is very important for him to note, that Ikorodu Central is entitled to have it’s own Iya’Oloja General for the Local Government and that is why he has confirmed Mrs. Bukola Osho as the Iya’Oloja General of Ikorodu central. This statement was written as a Press Release on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 during the stakeholders meeting with the Ikorodu central Marketers at the Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat.

The Ikorodu Indigenous citizens hereby requested for “Careful roles for peaceful coexistence” through stakeholders meeting with the involvement of the following political stakeholders, Oba Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom with the indigenes and the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government with the visitor alike across Ikorodu Central to help resolve the issue in terms of solution’s provision.
Among the invitees should be:- The Governor Advisory Council Member, Ikorodu Division APC Superior Party Chieftain, Sir Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, FCA, KJW; APC Party Chieftain, Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya; APC Apex Secretary, Alhaji Badru Enifeni, Ikorodu Division APC Party Chairman, Otunba Tijani Jimoh Olasunkanmi; Lagos East Senatorial District Legislator, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru; The Ikorodu Divisional Federal Representative, Hon. “Prince” Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR; Chairperson of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and others to help resolve the issues of constitutional decision making with the Paramount Traditional Ruler for peaceful coexistence.
