Grow Ikorodu Movement — Aarebirin Hon Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba (PFO) Projects

“Grow Ikorodu Movement" Project now and beyond revealed positive alternative strategies for nation building, capacity building, and capability seal of changing narrative to revoke low self-esteemed mentality to global recognition of Ikorodu city. 


In an interview Segment with ÀHon. (Dr) Folashade Olabunji Oba, Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 


Aarebirin Hon.Princess (Dr) Folashade Olabanji-Oba expressed how passionate she is towards building Ikorodu for a global tourist attractions. 


Says, for her, it's about love, endless love of the people, It's about total commitment to the people, It's about empathy of the people; “it is me defining my stand about the primary purpose through thick and thin”.

 

“I took a stand to say YES!  to Progress. Being here for us all is also standing tall and defending it”. No matter where I am in the world, Ikorodu is primarily in my heart, she said.


She proceeded, “I'm blessed to have been from that source”. It's about giving back, It's about blessing my source, and everybody feels there's a calling, calling for higher service, calling to say that somebody labored for me, somebody paid for my voice, somebody raised me with this so much value; and “One thing she gave me as a mandate is never be afraid to show love”, I'm here, but you must continue. “Take care of our people, and that's my mother”, because she knew as a little girl I was very shy. “When you truly mean well, you shouldn't be afraid. 


She said, her mind now is about“Growing Ikorodu to  greater is  the ultimate now.” ; When I talk about baby, it's something that I know that as a woman, it's about nurturing, It's about creating an enabled ground, about putting in a structure to where everybody wins, to where everybody flourishes. 


One thing ìs that we are blessed with in Ikorodu is the human capital development and lots mòŕe.It's like we need to really see beyond just now for us to know that “Ikorodu truly is diamond in the rough”. And for me, when I drive around, it's about celebrating that heritage. In that name “OGA”, comes capacity, comes capabilities, comes owning in your tough and fighting for what is yours, which doesn't come cheap. “Water your grass” she said and don't envy other place. If we concentrate on growing our grass, we will be the envy of every other community around, Aarebirin Ĥon Princess. (Dr) Folashade Olabanji-Oɓà


We must grow In growing Ikorodu; we grow Lagos; we grow Nigeria. “Ikorodu must be sought after for being the best, that is the message”. 


We need to change that narrative. We've got all that it takes to change the narratives.
