​Transcutaneous: Rep. Benson Distributes 2,000 Household Solar Systems To Residents.

The Ikorodu Federal House Representative, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR has distributed “Two Thousand Household Solar Systems” to the residents under his elected federal jurisdictional coverage area (Ikorodu Division) to help reduce the weather heat temperature for comfortable living.


These were shared to substitute with the Power-holding electricity supply plus the fact that His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR has acknowledged consideration of bill proffer by Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson at the national level in favour of Egbin Power Plc located in Ijede, Lagos State, Nigeria in other to help provide constant electricity power supply for the masses and to appreciate their franchise demonstrations at the recent 2023 Federal general elections.


Presentation of the Household Solar Systems was made in the presence of Rep. Benson, coordinated by the Director General of iCare Foundation, Mayor Muyideen SanwoOla; and presented by the Governor Advisory’s Council Member, former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Apex Chairman 1, Ikorodu Division APC Superior Party Chieftain, Sir Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, FCA, KJW; Ikorodu Constituency 1 Lagos State House of Assembly Legislative member, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA); the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina; Chief Imam Ikorodu-west and others at His constituency’s office, located along Igbogbo-Ebute road, by Solebo estate junction, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria today, Wednesday, February 21st, 2024 to the residents in appreciation of their active support and believing in Him to function as their Federal House of Representative.


40% of the 2,000 Household Solar Systems was distributed to the political members while 60% was given to the communities across Ikorodu Division. 


The installation of the household Solar system was enlightened by Mayor Muyideen Sanwoola to make it more convenient for the aged once. “It is not a sequence you can plug and play”, it requires processes.


Says, this programme was initiated through the thought of “How can we quickly alleviate the suffering of our people” due to the heat waves, he said.


Ikorodu Division consists of a Local Government and five Local Council Development Areas, which are as follows below:


1. Ikorodu  L.G,

2. Ikorodu-west L.C.D.A,

3. IKORODU-North L.C.D.A,

4. Igbogbo-Bayeku L.C.D.A,

5. Ijede L.C.D.A, and 

6. Imota L.C.D.A.


“More infrastructural development is coming, Ramadan food palliatives are coming through Mr President,  and before a year emergence of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR  in office, the situation of the country would have been resolved; Rep. Jimi Benson envisaged, based on the proactive provisions from Mr President. 


The Governor Advisory’s Council member, Ikorodu Division APC Superior Party Chieftain, Sir Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, FCA, KJW in his speech, said; this is not Rep. Jimi Benson’s first time giving back to the society of his Federal constituency. 


Says, He has cultivated this habit of giving and doing since his first emergence as a representative of the Ikorodu Division Federal constituency.


The beneficiaries of the Household Solar Systems will be relieved from the weather temperature of the Nation and regard it as their dividend of democracy.

He thereby applauded Hon. “Prince” Babajimi Adegoke Benson for being a productive representation, and not being a denial of his origin compared with other political stakeholders.


Ikorodu Constituency 1 Lagos State House of Assembly Legislative member, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (O.G.A) pointed out in his speech, that all the Governor's salaries have been increased; with time the masses will benefit from the subsidy removal. 


Says, His Excellency Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu has good plans towards the well-being of Lagosians as he has planned to discuss on Wednesday with the masses about the palliative provisions for Lagosians, he said. 


The beneficiaries thereby testify in appreciation to what the household solar Systems will productively provide for function-able businesses and prayed for greater achievements for Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR.
