Happy International Women's Day— Senator Abiru Wishes.

Today, I join millions of women in the Lagos East Senatorial District in celebrating the 2024 International Women's Day, under the theme "Inspire Inclusion." This year's International Women's Day carries a profound message, emphasizing the importance of fostering a more inclusive community.


I wish to specially recognize the achievements, resilience, and contributions of the women who have invested in the development of the Lagos East Senatorial District and Nigeria at large. They serve as strong pillars of support, not only for men but also for society as a whole.


Recognizing the critical role women play in nation-building, as the Senator representing Lagos East, I prioritize the inclusion of women in all my programs and constituency interventions.


The SAIL Innovation Lab, an innovation hub founded by myself and my wife for the people of the district, has empowered numerous young girls and women in tech and digital skills development, including Data Science, through initiatives such as the Teachers Fellowship Programme and support for market women and female entrepreneurs via various Constituency intervention programs.


By embracing the unique strengths and perspectives of every woman in our community, we contribute to building a district where all women can thrive and make meaningful contributions to our shared progress. I wish all our women a happy celebration!
