Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem empowered a youth and gave Financial assistance to 250 Households in Ikorodu West LCDA yesterday. 



Hon.Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju  FCA FCTI,Executive Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA empowered Sunday Adekoya, a deserving youth with a motorbike worth a million Naira,he also gave  financial assistance to 250 households in Ikorodu West LCDA. 


The empowerment  and cash distribution aimed to bring relief and assistance to the community during these challenging times.


Eleyinju  Anu,expressed his gratitude to the leaders, traditional rulers, artisans, and the entire community for entrusting him with their mandate to serve.


The Cash Empowerment Initiative cut across all five wards of the Local Council Development Area to ensure inclusivity and it was divided into two batches comprising of Ward C D E which took place  yesterday, March 19,2024 and Thursday, March 21, 2024. for Ward Aand B respectively.The goal is to empower 250 households and promote consistent implementation of this cash empowerment initiative.


This initiative aims to alleviate economic hardships and reduce stress within the community, reflecting the LCDA’s commitment to grassroots governance and inclusiveness.


Since the assumption of this present administration, the Council has made tremendous strides in empowerment and poverty alleviation. They have previously provided substantial relief in the form of food items and household supplies and this commitment will continue in the future.


SKO announced the launch of another phase of massive palliative efforts in the form of subsidized and discounted market food coming up soon.The initiative is to complement the laudable Ounje Eko program led by Mr.Infrastructure, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.


Committee has been set up headed by Honourable Adesegun Aluko,Vice Chairman to map out the necessary plans and modalities for the subsidized food market. The aim of this initiative was to positively impacted the lives of the beneficiaries.


SKO emphasized the importance of patience with the present administration at both the state and federal levels. 


SKO implored the community to use the Lent and Ramadan spiritual period to pray for peace,economic growth, progress and stability of this Nation,Lagos State and Ikorodu West in particular.


Prince Jamiu Adio Saka, the Apex Leader of Ikorodu West LCDA, commended the Chairman for his thoughtful and impactful initiative.


The beneficiary of the Motor bike,Mr Sunday Adekoya,appreciated the Executive Chairman for this laudable gift as he prayed for more greater height in his administration. 


Prince also  attributed the current situation of the country to individuals who have misappropriated funds meant for subsidies in the past. However, he expressed optimism that President Tinubu’s leadership will bring about positive change.


The beneficiaries of the SKO Cash Empowerment Initiative expressed their appreciation to Eleyinju Anu for this laudable initiatives and prayed to God to grant him more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Council in the right direction.


For the good of Ikorodu West LCDA.
