​Profound Economic Solutions: Patricia Okosodo Engage Youths & Teens For Leadership Summit.

Ms Patricia Okosodo, Golden Integrated Empowerment Foundation's pioneered person, in partnership with iCare Foundation, USAID Youth-Powered Ecosystem Foundation, Teensmata, and others organised a few hours of grassroots, leadership, and development submission meeting with the theme “Innovative Leadership and Governance for Inclusive Development” on Wednesday, March 7th, 2024 at the Sport and Youth Centre, Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria to deliberate on the youth and teens' observation for solution driving of the country (Nigeria).

The keynote speaker of the day, Ikorodu Federal House of Representative, Hon. ''Prince'' Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR ably represented by Mayor Muyideen Sanwoola, the Director–-General of iCare Foundation, and Executive Assistant on Lagos State Parking Authority to Lagos State Government, His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu during his brief lecture, urged the youths to be consciously minded in terms of reacting over information received from the people around them, and not to be too close or far to people; “At times, people can say anything just to get what they need from you”. ''

Says, “JB hates when people praise him as the next Governor of Lagos State”, people appraising him could have good intentions, but JB believes so much in dedication to serve his people, and also strongly believes that the position entails absolute service to the people. His diligence we speak for Him'', Mayor Deen said to counsel. 

Based on the knowledge acquired about people’s characteristics, some categories of people are trained to be desperate when they need your favour, while some leaders can be tempted to react to every piece of information they receive just because they heard someone say bad about them without fact-finding. 

“Practising the habit of knowing who you are dealing with entails being closer or attracting them closer to you to determine his character” when people say bad about a person closer to you.

Speaking, Mayor Deen SanwoOla enlightened the youths to familiarize themselves with people they don't know to have a clue about their characters. ''Leadership requires to Do the Undo'', a leadership position requires to do fact findings before making a final decision. He said. 

Aarebirin Hon. Princess (Dr) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government and the Commonwealth Vice Chairman’s Chair-person in her brief lecture said, “Good Character and quality Education will successfully produce absolute freedom”.

“What you do affects me, what I do affects you”, Identify your purpose and synergies with your grassroots in achieving progressive goals. Aarebirin Princess (Dr) Folashade-Oba urged the youths.

Says, “Creating economic freedom for yourself as a youth to develop your capacity before venturing into politics” will add a plus in self-wealth creation and positively influence our society. “If you don’t step up, you won’t be lifted”, she said.

Barr. Ahmed Dada Abbas, a pastor and law practitioner in his brief lecture on the topic of the day also revealed that every nation across the globe has their signatures through intellectual competence. 

He stated that there are three issues affecting Nigeria country, says 1. Leadership, 2. Leadership, and 3. Leadership.

Says, that analogue ages established corruption and emphasized leadership in the sense of expecting to be “wealthy without working; Nation without conscience, and Religion without sacrifice” which has led to politics without principle in the country.

We are all unique but the selfish practice of the Leaders has also affected the new generation, he said.

The Youths and teenagers thereby expressed their pressing needs to further encourage basic amenities for future protection to progressively produce skills acquired and implement their educational knowledge for prosperity.
