State 114 Rural Roads Construction: WADESH Flag-Offs’ Solomade/Adekayaoja Street Reconstruction.

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina “WADESH” has flagged off reconstructions’ of Solomade/Adekayaoja Street road, behind Oba’s Palace on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 to improve the conducive living of the masses at the geopolitical local zones for the convenience of the citizens and visitors alike.
The Solomade/Adekayaoja road construction was said to be supervised by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu local government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina under Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olus’ instruction and measurement.
This ongoing reconstruction road network links Ayangbure road through Suberu Ogunsanya Street of Ayeluja environ (Solomade area), and can also connect to Mabadeje (Lowa area) to Lagos road going through Jumofak axis of the same Ikorodu central, most especially whenever traffic congestion takes place within the both mentioned geopolitical zones within ward B.
According to the contractors’ displayed signboard, the road reconstruction will take six (6) months to complete.
In an information act with the High Chief Solomade of Ayeluja kingdom, a respected Adeolu Kilani Edalulu, the High Chief expressed his gratitude to the Lagos State Government, Ikorodu local government, and the political leaders who have put in their effort to make this road reconstruction a reality, and for remembering Solomade environs’ development at the aims of affairs.
He added that the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu local government should consciously ensure the nonabandon of the ongoing Solomade/Adekayaoja road reconstruction so that His name can forever be remembered.
The Solomade Street community stakeholders (CDA), residents, landlords, and Youths have thereby corporately worked with the Contractor “Yelat Construction Nigeria Limited” to ensure appropriate monitoring against dumping of refuse in the drainage during and after the completion of road construction.
In an interview with the CDA Chairman, Chief Olusanya Oshikoya, said; “Solomade Street has been long overdue, but, I appreciate the fact that it has finally commenced”. On behalf of the people of Solomade and Adekayaoja Street, I appreciate the government for this laudable development brought to our doorstep”; Thank you very much, he said.
Also in an interview with the Secretary to the SASUBA Community Development Association (CDA), Mr. Folami Olanrewaju, said, this road ought to have been reconstructed before now, but, having it taking place now, means the government truly had us in mind”. Thank you, we appreciate it, he said.
