Ikorodu Division APC Party Chairmen Hosts Lagos State Conference 57 LGA chairmen- Deliberates To Promote Peaceful Coexistence.

The "All Progressives Congress (APC)", Ikorodu division Party Chairmen hosted an indoor meeting with the “Lagos State 2022 Conference 57 of Local Government/Council Development Areas” on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024 at Ikorodu LGA Party secretariat, 24, Obafemi Awolowo way, Oke Ota-ona, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria to deliberate on how to foster youth participation in governance for peaceful coexistence ahead of the 2025 and 2027 Lagos State Local Government and local council development areas and Presidential elections.

Speaking at the indoor meeting, the Party Chair of Chair of Ikeja local government and Lagos State 2022 Conference 57 of Local Government/Council Development Areas, Hon. Mayegun Dally Adeokun commends the Six LGA Party Chairmen across Ikorodu division for their active support and involvement in promoting the ruling political Party, despite the present situation of the country. He thereby appealed to the Lagos State Party Chairmen for teamwork so as to continue supporting the development of the Ruling political Party as well as the nation at large.

"All we need to do is to keep engaging the youth participation in governance for peaceful coexistence", this will further assist the government in promoting Nigeria economy, and serves as active support to Mr. President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, FCR. “Nigeria will get better, if together we can work as one”, the Party Chair of Chair, Hon. Mayegun Dally Adeokun urged the Party Chairmen.

The APC Party Chairman of Ikorodu Division, Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani in his welcome address spokes on behalf of the Six LGA APC Party chairmen in Ikorodu division; “Hon. Waheed Oladimeji Animashaun, Ikorodu local government Party Chairman; Otunba Bayo Lawson, Ikorodu west LCDA Party Chairman; Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Igbogbo-Bayeiku LCDA Party Chairman; Hon. Sarumi Ademola, Ijede LCDA Party Chairman; and Hon. Akinyemi Ramoni, Imota LCDA Party Chairman”conference 57 LGA Chairmen extend a warm greetings to the Leader and member of Lagos State 2022 Conference 57 of Local Government/Council Development Areas, the Chair of Chair, Hon. Mayegun Dally Adeokun to the meeting.

This meeting is the second of its kind, when they come together to exchange ideas and views and also discuss matters of common interest as to impact their respective LGAs and the State in general. Otunba Tijani and colleagues appreciated the political office-holders for their moral and financial support, as always; The Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, Lagos State East-Senatorial District legislator at the National chamber; Rt. Honorable Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR, Ikorodu Federal Representative; The Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Bisola Ruth Olusanya; The Special Adviser to His Excellency Governor on Rural Developing Ministry, Dr. Nurudeen Yekini Agbaje; The Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), Ikorodu constuency One, Hon. Prince Gbolahan Ogunleye and Ikorodu Constiency Two, Hon. Abiodun Aro Moshood.

Also to the Ikorodu Local government and LCDAs Executive Chairmen; Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina of Ikorodu Local Government, Builder Adebisi Banjo of Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Kazeem Sulaimon of Ikorodu-west LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Agoro of Imota LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Alogba of Ijede LCDA, and Comrade Builder Sesan Daini of the Igbogbo-bayeiku LCDA.

Otunba Tijani thereby attested to implore the Chair of Chair of Conference 57, Hon. Mayegun Dally Adeokun of Ikeja LGA Party Chair to help thank the Ikorodu council Chairmen on their behalf anytime the opportunity persists.

Ikorodu division comprises of One Local Government and Five Local Council Development Areas which are:

1. Ikorodu Local Government Area (Central);

2. Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA),

3. Igbogbo-Bayeiku LCDA,

4. Ikorodu North LCDA,

5. Ijede LCDA, and

6. Imota LCDA.

In an Interview with Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani, said, the meeting was channeled towards achieving a massive turnout in the 2025 Lagos State local government/local councils and 2027 Presidential coming election. In recent time, there was low-turnout in electoral processes and for such not to keep repeating itself that was part of the reason for their meeting.
