Ongoing Construction of A Resource Centre In NIJ- Students Deliberates.

The management authority of
the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria has
deem it fit necessary to complete the ongoing building construction of a
resource centre in the school premises before August ending, 2024 to further enhance
educational standard and provides more facilities for the students to prosper
on their field of profession.
This idea pubs-up
during the board members meeting on
Wednesday, May 12th, 2024 on the mission to ascertain world classic
method of lecturing and mentoring for
prospective graduates productivity.
The students and the visitors alike does
therefore awaiting to see what essence will the resource centre be built for,
and also deliberated on why the resource centre should be design in such a way that
it not overshadow NIJ main building in regards to institutes’ name signage
identity; knowingfully well that it will
add a positive plus to the institute’s archive,
Findings revealed that the
resource centre will be named “Sir Kesington Adebutu Resource Media Centre”
which will be comprises of media facilities and functions including Information
Communication Technology tools.
In an interview with a
student, who said to be anonymous, said, having a resource media centre is a
laudable idea and achievement. Says, this will help enhance capacity building
in student productivity.
Also, in an interview with
Mr. Tolu Ojemiyiwa, NIJ lecturer, the essence of building the resource media
centre in the school its unknown to him, but having a resource media centre in
the school premises will had a positive plus to the achievement of the school,
create a new look of attraction to the school as well as to promote prosperous
graduates productivity.
Having the resource centre
named in regard to “Sir Kesington Adebutu” could be for a particular reason
which are yet to be know. It is advisable that you wait to see how the building
will be constructed and design with the name before conclusion.
In an interview with
Baobaku Olawale, an ND lll part-time student, said; the essence of the
constructing resource centre in the school premises should be to the student’s
advantage, perhaps, for academic studies and educational programmes.
This may build them up
educationally for prosperous advantages on their field of profession. “To me, it is a novel idea, he said.
Also in an interview with
Kofoworola Oke, a female ND lll part-time student, said; having a resource
centre built is the school compound is to prove that NIJ administrative are
productive and to have a new look of the old structure which may attract more
qualified and focused students to come there in for studies.
“I am happy to witness such
life impactful development”, she said.
The NIJ student then
rejoices in appreciation to witness new development during their set.
