80 years Firdaus's Prayer: Hon Adesegun Aluko and His Entire Families Organize After Mother’s Demise.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (Surely to Allah we belong and to Him, we will all return); Hon. Adesegun Aluko, Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu-west Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and his entire families has organized a firdaus's prayer for their late Mother, (Mrs Wosilat Aluko “Nee Alogba”) who died at the age of 80 years on Friday evening, August 16th, 2024.
The prayer lasted for seven days from the day of exit through Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at their parent’s compound located in Ebute and thereafter reception at the Voice of Nigeria, close to the Mother’s residence in Ipakodo environs under Ikorodu-west LCDA.
This firdaus's prayer was anchored by the Anwar-ul-Islam Movement of Nigeria, Ikorodu division Chairman, Alhaji (Prince) Jamiu Adio Saka with the presence of the children of the late mother; the All Progressives Congress (APC) Party leaders; the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu-west, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO); the National Vice-Chairman and the Executive vice-chairman of Ikorodu local government, Aarebinrin, Hon. Princess (Dr) Folashade Olabanji-Oba; the Party member; Special Assistant to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Agriculture, Hon. Abiodun M. Yinusa, and series of dignitaries to pay their condolences to the entire families of Aluko and Alogba on the exit of their Mother.
Alhaji (Prince) Jamiu Adio Saka, the Chairman of Anwar-Islam of Nigeria, Ikorodu division branch, said during his message to the children of his late mother (Mrs Wosilat Aluko “Nee Alogba”), said; the mother has done well being an Islamic person. He therefore urged the children to emulate the same habit by not deviating from the Islamic religion.
Quran lecture for the day was given by Imam Idris Afolabi, Chief Imam Anwar-ul-IslamMovement of Nigeria, Okegbegun, Ikorodu, Lagos State from the Quran chapter 22 verse 15; which says, “Whoever thinks that Allah will not help His Prophet in this world and the Hereafter, let them stretch out a rope to the ceiling and strangle themselves, then let them see if this plan will do away with ˹the cause of˺ their rage”. There is no one on earth God has not deposited good in their lives. “ Let us learn to always appreciate God oftentimes”, he said.
In an interview with the national Vice-Chairman, Aarebinrin, Hon. Princess (Dr) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, said Hon. Adesegun Aluko is amiable, hardworking, very dynamic and passionate about people. The mother has done well for living good children, especially the one that she will always be proud of (Hon. Adesegun Aluko), and as our colleague, we wish him well and pray that the good luck will continue to comfort and strengthen the family on this great lost.
Furthermore, mama (Mrs Wosilat Aluko “Nee Alogba”) was such a loving mother to everyone, very religious, and took everybody as one. So, definitely, she will get a wave of peace by God’s grace.
Also in an interview with Prince Adedayo Ladega, Hon. Adesegun Aluko’s friend, said; that his friend has been a very great person who was very tough during their teen’s ages. “We are all here as friends to express our condolence about the exit of our beloved mother (Mrs Wosilat Aluko “Nee Alogba”), and at the same time to celebrate with him.
His Dad is a great man; he has been our father, and the Mom is a great Mother who has been very dear to us in encouragement to stay focused which made us friends to accord her our last respect to them today. “Adesegun Aluko is a vision accomplisher when comes to way forward, he knows the right different from the left, when to talk and no to, and very unique in all aspects with a loving heart to stand with you”. He motivates and encourages people with good intention of achievement. “He has a very good heart”. He thereby urged the people of Ikorodu to emulate the attribute of encouraging one another to become a successful and progressive personality in life, said; Prince Adebayo Ladega.
Speaking, in an interview with Hon. Adesegun Aluko, Vice-Chairman, Ikorodu-west LCDA, said; that her mother has been very loving. Says, “If I am to rate my Mother, I will rate her 100%” and “If I can rate her more 100%, I will do that”, because she raised me to this level by being a very caring, loving, and encouraging mother, He said.
He thereby appreciated the people of Ikorodu-west and Ikorodu division at large i.e. the youths, the Party leaders, and the enacts for the massive turnout to her mother Firdaus's prayer and burial ceremony. The praying section has been on for seven days, and despite today being a working day, “People count me worth with a massive turnout to celebrate my Mother with me; I will say a very big thank you to the people of Ikorodu”, “I love you all”, said; Hon. Adesegun Aluko.
Being the executive vice chairman of Ikorodu-west LCDA, “We are planning to return to office for the second time”. Hon. Aluko thereby appealed to the people of Ikorodu-west to keep supporting their team (SKO & Aluko), and promised to ensure that they will never disappoint them for any reason. So far we are developing in every aspect of every department, both in the health section, education, environment, and Works, and with their support. “We believe with their support, Ikorodu-west will continue to go higher and higher, he said.
Votes of thanks were given on behalf of the entire family of Aluko and Alogba by Mrs Mojisola Akinduro Aluko Alogba. She appreciates everyone for making their mother Firdaus's prayer memorable for the children and the family. “Thanks for coming” and God bless you all, she said.
