Senator Abiru Provides Solar Street Lights Within Lagos-East Senatorial District To Enhance Security.

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions in the 10th Senate, representing the Lagos-East Senatorial District has implemented an initiative to enhance security within his legislative jurisdiction by providing solar-powered street lights in key areas.


This decision, announced by his media spokesperson, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, on Friday, September 13, 2024, is aimed at promoting peaceful synergy between the government and the people of Ikorodu, Kosofe, Somolu, Ibeju-Lekki, and Epe in Lagos State.


The areas that have benefitted from this initiative include TOS Benson Road in Ikorodu, Aga Sholebo Estate Road, Gbasemo Street, and Olayinka Jimbo Street in Ikorodu-west, as well as 200 solar-powered streets installed at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) in Ikorodu-north.

Additionally, the initiative covers locations in Kosofe LG, such as Ajelogo Mile 12 and Gbagada, along with other areas across the Lagos East Senatorial District.

This comprehensive effort underscores Senator Abiru’s commitment to the safety and well-being of his constituents.

“All these, and even more Senator Abiru has done!”, said the Senator’s Media aide/Spokesperson, Mr Enitan Olukotun.
