Historic Moment: Babajimi Benson Unveils Agbede Road in Ikorodu-West, Commission By Oba Shotobi.

Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR, Member, Federal House of Representatives, Chairman, House Committee on Defense Representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency has commissioned Jokogbola Road, Agbede Olunla, under the administration of Executive Chairman, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO), and the Legislative Councilorship of Hon. Tejumaiye Adeyanju Julius, Councilor representing “Ward D”, Ajaguro, Ikorodu-west LCDA yesterday, on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at Fanta junction, Ajaguro, Ikorodu-west LCDA, Lagos State, Nigeria for the convenience of the people.

The road was acknowledged by the Ikorodu Division APC Apex Leader and member Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye and pronouncely commissioned by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Hrm, the Adegorunshen V, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom.

Lagos State GAC member, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye in his speech commended Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson for his effective transformative work to ensure rapid development of Ikorodu Division after accomplishing Sixty Two (62) roads across Ikorodu division and still counting.

Hon. Babajimi Benson in his speech appreciated the community stakeholders and the good people of Ward D geopolitical zone under Ikorodu-west lcda for counting him worthy to be voted for during the past 2023 general election as their Federal Representative.

Urged the Landlords to moderate the road advantage considering the residential people living in their houses. “The road development will attract house rent increment at this period, but never forget it is your time to pay back in regards to the road advantage; urged the landlords to measure the rate at which they increase their house rent”. This will serve as the midst of giving back to their individual communities. “The residents rejoiced as he promised to commission Agbede- Itaoluwo road soon”.

Executive Chairman, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO) in his welcome address appreciated the entire APC Party Chieftains, Kings, Baales and the CDA Chairmen for their unrelenting effort toward the development of Ikorodu.

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Bashiru Aremu Sotonwa, the Sekunmade of Ipakodo Kingdom during his public address, appreciated the good work of Rep. Jimi Benson and prayed for more promotion in his political career.

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr) Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu kingdom in his message to the people of Olunla, Agbede, and Ajaguro communities; appreciates the Almighty God for the progressive development of Ikorodu division and applaud Rep. Jimi Benson for his efforts towards the development of Ikorodu Division.

Said, Rep. Jimi Benson, representing the entire residence of Ikorodu at the Federal House of Representatives, has been a libra behavioural person and nonpartisan about all the roads facilitated by him. He is qualified to be addressed as a true patriotic Nigerian.

He urged the good people of Ikorodu-West to vote and support the Ruling Party in the 2027 Governorship election to keep Nigeria growing. “I am not a politician,” he said, but the next Governor of Lagos State must be produced from Ikorodu.

Finally, encouraged the stakeholders to take ownership of the road maintenance by ensuring the residents don’t deliberately vandalise it due to the economic present situation of the country.
