Ikorodu Annex Elects New Officers as LSPSC Eyes Mother Club Elections.

The Lagos State Public Service Club (LSPSC), Ikorodu annex has officially conducted their election for the 2024 through 2026 newly elected officers on September 27th, 2024 at the Club (Ikorodu annex) under the Chairmanship of Prince Temitayo Adejumo Ogunsanya during the LSPSC annual general meeting (Mother Club Ikeja), under the leadership of Town-Planner (TpL.) Adeniyi Oloko and all Executive Council members.

The annual meeting was focused on what needed to be done to enhance the development of the club and deliberated on how LSPSC’s election should be conducted.

Official dignitaries from LSPSC, Mother Club Ikeja were present to witness the electoral process and appropriately coordinate the annual general meeting.

Among the dignitaries are:- TpL Adeniyi Oloko, President, LSPSC; Mr Gafar Adedayo, LSPSC Vice-President; Mr Adegbemile Idowu, LSPSC General Secretary; Mr Akanji Lambo, Assistant General Secretary; High Chief Kayode Odunuga P.R.O; Mr Bakare Railwan, Treasurer; Olufemi Ajenifuja, Immediate Past President; Barrister Oluranti Oduntan, immediate Past Vice-President; Elder Gbenoba Solomon, Past Chairman; Mr Oguntonade O. Past Chairman; Elder Aruna Olarewaju, Past Chairman; Alhaji Aribidesi Adebayo Taofik, Past Chairman; Mr Abayomi Ajao, Past Chairman; Mr Oguntoyinbo Olawunmi, immediate Past Chairman; Mr Ganiyu Wewe, Past Social Secretary; Chief Adegbolahan Adaraloye, Past Social; Mr Ayoola Sesan, Past General secretary, others.

Speaking, the President of the Lagos State Public Service Club, TpL. Adeniyi Oloko said all elected officers should ensure they are present on their inauguration day for recognition purposes and to know what they are assigned to do as officers of the club.

Therefore, all elected officers who were not present at the 2024 annual general meeting have been pardoned, he said and acknowledged by all.

Barrister Oluranti Oduntan, LSPSC’s immediate Past Vice-President said in feedback to what TpL. Adeniyi Oloko said concerning the elected officers; “Not being present at the club annual general meeting as elected officers are paramount but, not compulsory”. “The Club Annual General Meeting is different from the inauguration programme d for the club elected officers”, Barrister Oluranti said and was buttressed by all.

Prince Temitayo Adejumo Ogunsanya, the Chairman of LSPSC, Ikorodu annex, during his speech-making, appreciated the entire members of the club for their support and been there for the development of the club and promised to do more.

Says, “There is a need for an alternative electricity power supply” due to the high rate of consumption of fuel when there is no electricity power supply (light) by the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), formerly the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA).

Urged all newly elected officers to deal with people with care, keeping in mind that the assignment is a call to service and not to be aggressive or feel superior to anyone.

He thereby envisaged a year-long transformative agenda and proffered solutions towards the LSPSC’s vision achievement. “Let’s work as a team to attain our vision“, the Chairman, LSPSC, Ikorodu annexe encouraged.

The inauguration of the LSPSC’s newly elected officers will be next year after the mother club election in December 2024.

The LSPSC annual general meeting and their election process were well organised and peaceful.
