A loaded trailer’s driver on speed, hit an electric power supply pole in front of the Conoil filling station, beside Ikorodu central mosque (Samadani), at Ikorodu garage today, Tuesday, August 20th, 2024. This incident occurred at exactly 3:29 am this morning. The night traders selling at Ikorodu garage revealed that this accident was caused by the recent issues between the night truck/trailer revenue collectors and the truck/trailer drivers, which had led to one death among the revenue collectors two months ago. Said, in this notion, the night truck/trailer’s drivers are always on high vehicle acceleration to escape from the task collectors. Today, we affectionately remember our  Late revered  royal father, The Ayangbure of Ikorodu and the Paramount Ruler of Ikorodu Division, Late HRM Oba (Dr) Salaudeen Afolabi Adekoya Oyefusi, CON (Oguntade II), ten years after joining his ancestors. Oba Oyefusi will forever be remembered and extolled for his selfless service to the people of Ikorodu, and the pivotal role he played in the political and socio-economic development of Ikorodu division during his reign. As we all remember and celebrate the outstanding legacies of our respected Late Monarch, we are grateful to the quality leadership he provided to many of us who knew him while alive.
