​Senator Abiru Offers Over 8,500 Food Pack To The Masses Across Lagos East Senatorial District.

The Lagos East Senatorial District Legislator, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, offers “Xmas & New Year Food Pack Edition” for the masses today, Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 in appreciation of their support and belief in him.

Over Eight Thousand Five hundred (8,500 plus) food packs were given simultaneously across the Five (5) Local Government Areas under Lagos East Senatorial District. Each “Xmas & New Year Food Pack” entails Rice, Beans, and Garri.

Today's Food Pack giving is focused on Ikorodu Divisional citizens and visitors alike who had gone through online registration and have been called to come for their food pack, as well as “All Progressive Congress (APC) Party members who have tremendously stood with the mandate’s achievement with the provision of their tickets.

In an interview with the beneficiaries across Ikorodu Divisional Geopolitical Zones:

According to Mr Adekunle Idowu from Ward A geopolitical zone in Ikorodu central, said; since Senator Abiru ascended to Senatorial position, he has been taking care of the needy every quarter of the year, we are very happy about what he has been doing for us.

In this regard, we are to inform the political members not to depart from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Political Party for more opportunities are coming, said; Mr Adekunle Idowu from Ward A, polling unit 25, Ikorodu Central.

Abiola Lawal from Ward F, Ikorodu geopolitical local zone, said; “we appreciate Senator Abiru very much, especially the widows, the single and all the elders; We appreciate, she said.

“I can't say this is my first time, because have been benefiting ever since, but this is my second time benefiting from the food pack programmes”, Ward F APC Party Member testifies.

Says, her message to all Nigerians is to be appreciative and contented because we all know the anger is too much, but, we appreciate Senator for what he has done for us, said; Abiodun Lawal from Ward F, Ikorodu Local Government geopolitical zone.

Sanni Sekinat from Ward F Ikorodu central geopolitical zone, says, they were given tickets to come for some package for the Xmas & New Year period. The program is mainly for those who want to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

Said, “I'm very happy that we're getting this kind gesture from Senator Abiru” because a lot of people condemn the politicians, and for them to have called us for something like this, shows they have us in mind. “I just hope the program does not stop”, because this is not the first or second or third time, I guess it's the fourth one”, said; Bolanle Sekinat from Ward F, Ikorodu Central. 

She added, that Senator Abiru's food package used to be informed of box packages, but now it's in a different package, and a different package shows it’s moving ahead.

Since Senator Abiru started this project, today is my first time of benefit, and “I think the reason for being my first time is because they are trying to make it go round, according to my fact findings”. You don't have to repeat giving to the same set of people who had benefited before, you have to make it go round because It's not easy to cover everybody in Ikorodu Division, she said.

She thereby appreciates and urges the Senator not to stop doing good as she appreciates his giving back to society. 

In an interview with Alhaji Riliwan Ishola Jimodu, an APC political Party Chieftain in Ikorodu Central Local Government Area, said, what is happening here is happening simultaneously across the Five local government areas (LGAs) and Sixteen local council development areas (LCDAs) under the Lagos East Senatorial District.

We all assemble here to give our people Xmas & New Year gifts which is not the first time of received such things here. masses have been coming here since morning to lift their Food Pack in the name of Senator Abiru. So has he done in the previous Sallah period, and we hope for more in the future.

Put together in the Sixteen LCDAs and Local Government across the Senatorial district, “we have distributed Over Eight Thousand Five hundred Food Packs within a week”, we reach out to many people, eg Privilege people, Market Women Association, and others.

These Food Packs are not limited to politicians alone, it is distributed through Community Development Associations (CDAs) and other non-governmental platforms in other to get to the grassroots citizens and visitors alike. That is the system we use in distributing the food packs this time around.

If all other political officeholders can do the same, there will be no reason why the masses will complain they don't benefit from the Government. Imagine all the people who have been tripping in lifting all these items, “I am very sure that none of them will go back home and complain of not having blossomed Christmas and New Year this time around, with all they have lifted here. So, it is my advice to every officeholder holders cultivate the same way.

We have all witnessed what the Federal Government have been doing, distributing gifts to all sets of people, so our Senator is also doing, said; APC Party Chieftain in Ikorodu Central Local Government Area, Alhaji Riliwan Ishola Jinodu.
