By Araba, Olawale Enifenilanfe: The Ikorodu tradition has commenced the 2024 “LIWE” festival at midnight today, Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Isele geopolitical zones to protect and promote the prosperous Ikorodu people at large. This annual traditional functionality does not prevent people from coming in and going out of Ikorodu Division, but only exists at the main Indigenous arena part of Ikorodu Central which is as follows below:👇🏻 - Ajina arena; Ladega; ItunNla; Obun-Ale; Ita-Elewa; Ireshen road; Anibaba; Ota-Ona; Solomade; Ayangburen road; Suberu Ogunsanya; Banjoko Olowu; Ojogbe; Ojubode; Lowa, and so on. - On this day, the females are expected to be indoors cooking and taking good care of the children; only male children from all tribes living in Ikorodu are considered to be outside. By Araba, Olawale Enifenilanfe: The KingsMen Elites Club of Ikorodu paid a courtesy visit to the Ayangbures’ Palace on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 to receive Royal blessings from His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, HRM for their humanitarian clubs’ existence.  This social club was founded on Tuesday, November 16, 2022, with twelve (12) active members to start with (Two years ago), launched on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2023 with the distributions of 500 food palliatives to vulnerable living in Ojogbe community, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.  Among the Indigenous 12 active members of the Kingsmen Elites club are; Prince Benson, Acht. In a bid to boost food production in Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA , has facilitated farm inputs, containing fertilisers, seedlings and herbicides, for over three hundred local farmers in the agrarian communities of the district for the planting season. The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) provided the farm inputs through the intervention of the Senator. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina “WADESH” has flagged off reconstructions’ of Solomade/Adekayaoja Street road, behind Oba’s Palace on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 to improve the conducive living of the masses at the geopolitical local zones for the convenience of the citizens and visitors alike.  The Solomade/Adekayaoja road construction was said to be supervised by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu local government, Hon.
